In our new EDM unit, we have started talking about measurement. Today, we learned about standard and non-standard units of measuring using ourselves to measure the length of our classroom.
Tug of War in the Classroom
Students were given the question, "Should animals be taken out of their habitat and put in the zoo?" Students gave very thought provoking answers for yes and no. The most important lesson we learned from this was that everyone has an opinion and that it is important to respect everyone's opinion.
So proud of our class's production of The Tortoise and the Hare. They did a great job learning all about stories in our unit of inquiry, How We Express Ourselves.

We had so much fun learning about our community helpers.
Interviewing our classmates to find out where they have been in the local community. Students really enjoyed using math to learn more about there UOI and each other.
